Rx-2 Wont Stay Running

Have a 1973 Rx-2 with stock twin distributor 12A motor. While being painted, the paint shop ran the car out of gas. Now, the car will start right up but only will run for about 5 seconds and quit. The filter is clean, the tank was drained and relined prior to being painted so ther should not be any dirt getting in to the carb (?). They tell me there is pressure from the fuel pump. The car was mechanically rebuilt and was running beautifully. I'm at a little of a disadvantage as I'm 800 miles away from the car and getting the info second hand. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Fuel lines may be plugging from old debris in the tank or the screen filters around the banjo bolts on the carb feed lines may be plugging. Have them check the float bowl level in the sight glasses when it dies. If the bowls are running empty, there is a restriction somewhere.
