running rich

i have a 1990 mazda rx7 gxl and it is running rich, what are some things that can cause that

Dirty air filter and MAF. Thats for all fuel injected cars not just the 2nd gen.

f

i put in a diffrent mass air flow and it did the same thing , the air filter is clean

Next thing would be the 02 sensors. After that I think you're looking at the injectors leaking or the computer being off kilter.

I'm not sure if the FCs do it, but unhook the battery overnight and let the ECU reset. Might sort itself out.

Is it a n/a? They run rich because of the factory tuning, to fix it get a stand alone.

Arrow dumping fuel

I have an 87 turbo and it dose the same thing. It just dumps fuel and is running really rich (exhaust tips are black) but rotary engines have to run rich because if you go to lean you will cause knock (one little ping) and it'll destroy the engine. I have to pass emissions soon to get tabs and i really don't think im going to pass because of that.

ocay i tried the battery trick and also cleaned the injectors didnt make a diffrence

it always ran rich, in the mornings it would have irratic idle and back fire for about 3 minuts then its fine
