CA Rotary Flooding issues

What are all the reasons why a rotary would flood? I know low compression and leaking injectors are 2 of the reason but are there any other reasons why? I have a 87 FC NA. Tired of deflooding it. When it starts up it smells hella rich. Changed the O-rings and caps to all injectors and did compression test (in spec) but still floods. Bad injectors? What else should I check/test before buying new injectors?

Flooding when hot is primarily because Mazda designed the ECU to allow way too much fuel to be injected during cranking. A means of adjusting start up fuel, such as with an Rtek 2.x chipped ECU, can eliminate the problem.

How many miles on the car? I'd do a compression test, if that checks out ok then get the injectors cleaned.
