renesis porting
I was just searching around the internet and saw a few shops offer bridgeporting for the rx8 engines now. I was wondering if anyone has heard of the powergains, powerband of ported renesis engines.
I remember when the engine first came out they claimed 240hp, then when it actually was sold, down to 227. And people weren't gaining much power from bolt ons

What about with a port job? I'm curious to see the powerband and peak hp on those street ported and bridgeported renesis engines. I'm curious about about the non turbo application mainly because aggresive older style 13bs usually sacrifice a lot of low end powerband for peak

Here's a good thread on renesis porting over at the RX8club: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=173190. The side port exhaust and lack of room to work on the intake ports make the task interesting.

there are a few bridged Renesis engines out there. off hand, i can't think of any that still run N/A, but for details check over at Rx-8Club. the only user i can think of right now is ChrisRX8PR (or something like that).
EDIT: just perused RotaryRocket88's link and i guess now i have an N/A bridge that will stay in my memory.
