rebuilding carb

okay, so here's the scoop! i currently own a 84-se, but now i'm looking at getting an 84 gs for my wive, but the one i'm looking at needs a carb rebuild. I'm pretty handy at most things around a car, but a carb i have never tried doing. How difficult is it? what sort of price am i looking at for a rebuild kit? and how long should it take...1 hour, 1 day 1 week etc.....? any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated..
