Rebuild, s5 13bt vs 13b-RE

Going to need a motor after this summer.

MY current setup is

Microtech lt10s
4x1000cc injectors
Walbro 255
Stock coils

I want to build a motor capable of making ~400RWHP and being completely stretable. (Obviously low boost setting on the street)

That being said, I'd also like it to be comparable/equivalent to a 13b-REW.

So I have my current keg, 120km, 100psi front and back

vs

13b-re (some JDM core~~~)

Both will be rebuilt, but the main question is should I bother with the cosmo motor if I can upgrade my s5 keg and port it to be as good as or better then a ported REW.

If not then I may just suck it up and baller out on the 13bt. But if I can save quite a bit of money, I'll just stick with the s5 keg

Hoping for some insight from you engine builders. I've searched quite a bit but most info only relates stock to stock.

Cheers~~~

Fleemer 400 Hp is no big deal the main difference will be the Porting both Intake and Exaust Ports , Downpipe size, about 3-4 inch , Your Turbo choice, EG (T04) Gt 45 or larger as well as your tuning the S5 can make 400-500 Hp you want just remember to also look at a large Intercooler,as well as a larger Rad after all if you double the Hp just double everything else it comes from Fuel, Rad ,oil coolers, intake pipes exaust pipes etc , as well as jack up your fuel pressure with a fuel boost regulator usually referenced to a vacuum line and hooked to your return fuel line or dial it in on your Microtech one thing the Rew have is Huge Secondary Intake Ports if 400-500 is not enough, also the e shaft has a larger front needle bearing as well as more clearance on the rear main bearing. better main bearings etc

There is no need for a GT45 or larger turbo to make 400rwhp. You will just have a lot of lag. We run the GT42RS on our 20B and it makes 530@12psi low boost

We are making a consistent 435rwhp at 15psi with the Cosmo 13b-re and GT35R. It has fast spool and nothing is being pushed too hard. Plenty of room for more boost/power with a little water injection. Also, this is on a Mustang dyno.

The Cosmo engine does not just drop in without additional parts, like the s5 would. Either engine will require a bunch of bolt-on mods to reach 400whp
