Rebuild, have rebuilt or JDM?
Hey everyone I'm almost ready to take the leap and buy a turbo II rx-7. The car is clean and descent shape.
Unfortunatly the motor has been removed. The car was detonating and the owner says the apex seals were bad. To find this out he took apart the motor and its been apart for about 5 months. He has all the major parts I'm going to inspect the rotors and housings tomorow but, I wonder about some of the gaskets/oil seals/etc... on getting the motor rebuilt.
I'd probably buy the video from atkins and a rebuild kit.$1000.00
If not I'd send it to http://rotaryresurrection.com/ and have it rebuilt. Thats probably going to run me $2000 after shipping.
Finaly FC3S.org is showing for $1000.00 I can buy a JDM motor and drop that in. But they don't have a warranty, what are the chances of the motor being bad?
Help would be appreciated.

doing it yourself will help you be more knoweledgeable about your car, and take pride in saying i did this when it is done, try to source tech help near you in your area just in case, and watch the video a few times before you try building yours a motor with no guarantee you dont know if it has compression and may have to rebuild it later on rebuild the one that came with the car unless scarred housings
