So i'm rebuilding a motor for a guy and he brought me an Atkins rebuild kit with their 2 piece 3mm seals. this is the first rebuild i've had to use 2 piece seals in and it doesn't seam like the triangle piece is sitting right to me. it sits lower than the rest of the seal and doesnt seem to be supported by the spring or anything . is this just how the 2 piece seals are? the engine is a 13b with s4 turbo rotors milled for 3mm seals. thanks for the help.

 

2 piece seals use two springs, a short and a long. what exactly is the problem?
