rear end gears. straightforward question

just wondering if anyone knows what gears the stock 87 GXL would have used for the rear end?. I thought I heard 373 before somewhere but not sure. Thanks.

The only other factory option for the rear end is the 4.30 gears out of the GTUs

Mazdatrix used to offer an adapter that let you use the 1st gen ring and pinions, but have discontinued it.
