Quick 13b Rebuild Question

I rebuilt my 13b with new hard seals and new rubbers. Haven't put any miles on it really and it still smokes a little. Wayyyy less than before rebuild of course but it is noticeable enough to annoy me.

My question is, how long, or how many miles does it take for all the seals to mesh and work themselves in? Should I shoot for like 400 miles on the engine before I tear it down to do it all over again?

thanks

what weight oil are you running?

A little smoke is normal until the seals bed themselves, im unsure how many miles it would be.
My rebuild took about 300 before it stopped smoking, but it can vary

Sounds like you're pre-mixing about 1 oz per gallon. Is this on an n/a motor? If so, you can probably back the pre-mix off a bit, especially for easy street driving. That may be the source of your smoking.
