Question Regarding Rotory Engines
I've been thinking of buying a second generation convt but have heard much about the rotory seals blowing. Is this something that is common and how much is it to have repaired? I'm not a mechanic, that's why I'm asking. Thanks.

A blown apex seal basically means you need the engine rebuilt.
If you do it yourself (anyone with a bit of mechnical knowledge can, it's easier than piston engines) it will cost about $600-$1200 for a basic rebuild.
If you want a shop to do it then expect $1200-$3200, more if you want modifications over stock.
Check out the second generation forum and read the FAQ section and you will find most of what you want to know is answered there, and what isn't can easily be found by using the search function in the top right corner of the site.
