question only for the pro's
hey, i currently drive a completely different type of car and i have been looking at getting a rx7 fd model... however i don't know what i should be looking and asking for when looking at the car and what are some common issues with them.
could anyone please help me out?

the newer the model the better it was put together.
parts are available, but they are not cheap. putting mine back together i spent $250 in little plastic clips, that the body shop lost or broke.
mechanically if the engine fails, theres a bunch of other stuff that should be replaced while its apart (clutch, pulsation damper, etc etc) and you can either do it all at once and its expensive, but the car is reliable, or save a few $$ and wait until you're stuck on the side of the road. most people on here choose plan B, and then complain a lot.
the most fun is when the car is nearly stock, making faster doesnt make it more fun, it usually just makes the owner more paranoid about watching gauges. reliability can go either way. if you do it right, it gets better, most people get it wrong, and loose the engine over and over (more hp needs more fuel, and more cooling)
