In the quest of knowledge

Hey guys i am new to the web site and i just want to give you guys a warning. I only have a limited knowledge of the rotory engine. I came from a long line on honda owners and am starting to build one myself and i know alot about the piston engine and honda motors. I just have a question. I have read all the stickeys and read all the info on thoes web pagges. Anyways i would like to learn more about how it really works. Like all the parts on it and how it works. I understand the basic principals of the engine but i would like a more indepth understanding of this work of art. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreicated.

That site gives an excellent representation of the basics of the rotary engine. Unfortunately, due to the emissions ***** and others, it gets MUCH more complicated then that.

Don't worry it doesn't take long to get some good knowledge of how rotaries work and stuff. Just hang out here and read threads often and you will learn quick. I remember back when I knew nothing about rotaries and I was all intimidated by them. Then I started workin on an 87 N/A in autotech and started learning and troubleshooting and hangin out on the forums. I learned a lot and now its no big deal. Learning stuff kicks ***.

The factory service manual has quite a bit of useful info.

Lets see....

Most of the sites I know are for diagnosing common problems concerning the FC. The FSM can give you some insight as to the workings of the exterior of the engine. I dont know of any websites offhand that explain all the systems associated with the FC motor. The FSM is available online at www.fc3s.org

I'm going to get enough time and ink one day to print the whole service manual out. It has been a huge help. I don't know what I would do without it.
