CA Putting the Rex away....

My lovable 84 GS is going away for storage while I'm deployed, come march. Bu here's my question...

I'll be gone for three months initially, and then a year to 14 months after that, without reprieve. So, my question is, should I drain the car of all it's fluids for the three months that it won't be used? I've heard horror stories of what happens if you don't drain them completely... Like rotting out the water jacket....

I'm a Marine (E3), so I don't have much money, and I can't afford to replace expensive parts like that. So tell me, what's better? Have my girlfriend drive it around the block or to the grocery store every few weeks? Or just drain it, and put the car in the garage? Please let me know! Thank you!
