Flat Spot in Power

Car: 1986 Mazda RX7 GXL N/A
120K
5sp

Ok now you about what car i have

here is my problem
while driving the car agressivly (but not real hard, just enough to have some fun)
I notice a Flat Spot in my power band right at 3500rpm up to 3600rpm it goes right away and has power again as soon as it hits 3600rpm or above

now when i just drive normal slowly building up the Rpm's ect. it does not have the problem (or i just dont notice it as much)

any thought as to what could cause this??

my thought was spark plugs but they are fine..

the only thing that comes to mind right now is possible binding that causes a delay in opening the secondary throttle bores.

Are you exactly sure on the RPM? The '3800 rpm hesitation' often occurs at the transition when secondaries come online. That would explain why it only happens under load. Check your wiring grounds, especially the ecu ground.

I am pretty sure on the RPM's, but i may be wrong..

I will have my brother take it for a spin to see what RPM he thinks
( always good to have a second opion lol)

I should be getting some time off work next week
were i can go over all the grounds
and take a closer look at things..
