pretend I'm an idiot

Ok I am new to the Rx7 world and I have a 92 3rd Gen
I live in japan so I cant just run down to the nearest autozone to pick up regular maintance items.(well I could but I cant read japanese nor speak it all that well so...) I am in need of spark plugs but when I went to order them they wanted to know what heat index I needed, 9, 10, 11. So whats the difference. Also I am in dyer need of a shop manual would I have to order one from the manufactuer or is there another company(other than Hayes).

Get ahold of jspecracer7 and jt-imports, both on this board, and both are english speaking individuals living in Japan. I believe jspecraver7 is even in Okinawa - as well.
