i have a 92' fd3 rx7.only had it about six weeks and i am very happy with it.only problem is,i went for a spin the other day and when i got to about 7000rpm and just about to change gear it majorly lost power and made an extra loud noise...kinda like it hit the rev limiter.i checked my mirror expecting to see a cloud of smoke and a turbo on the road but no sign of smoke.i tried accelerating again but it didnt feel like the turbos were kicking very much.tried it the next day and everything seemed fine and the turbos were kicking good again until yesterday the same thing happened at about 6000rpm!
it seems fine at lower speeds and the first turbo always kicks in good but the second turbo seems to work whenever it feels like it!do you think i could be looking at split hoses or vacuum pipe connections?i have bought an hks boost gauge to check boost levels but have not fitted it yet as not sure where the best place to mount it along with a temp gauge
