Hey guys,

I was checking my car out in the garage for the winter, and the antenna is sticking and wont come out. Can you help me with a solution on fixing this?

 

i just started on my car for summer, first time my antenna went up it got stuck up.. and now all i here is the motor trying to bring it back down ... but its still up...?
is this a common problem?
suck up or stuck down... i hope there is a solution?

The cord inside is probably broken. I just replaced mine last weekend. I think it is a common problem.

 

Z28, Are the replacement antenna mast at the dealer?

 

mine is stuck halfway down when off, you can hear it trying to pull it all the way down. itll go down if i push it and sometimes wont come back all the way up. but i forgot to mention my antena is bent...

The above link is the one I would get if I were you. I took my old unit out last weekend and needed to get one in due to it being a daily driver. I went to Autozone and got the Metra they sell. So far, its working like a charm.

I was going to just try and repair mine, but another member here kinda pushed me to just replace because you repair one thing now, next month the motor will probably go. My motor was working, but the antenna would not go up/down. I did take it apart to find the heavy duty plastic cord was broken.
