Porting a 6-port engine...

I have a few questions about how to port my -86 6-port N/A engine.
The plans is to bridgeport it and just remove the secondary valve... It's going to be supercharged, and at the beginning with a Eaton M90. If that works out the way I want... Then I'm going to buy a SRM/Lysholm/Autorotor charger, they are all made here in Sweden so I can buy them for a decent price!

If you look at this pic carefully, then you can see a difference compared to the American engines with a secondary sleeve valve. My engine is a european N/A with a butterfly valve in the beginning of the intake runner instaed of the more common tube/sleeve valve.

The secondary port does not look the same on these two enginetypes!!!
Even thoght they both are N/A engines...
If you compare these pics with for example the porting pics of the 6-port at Mazdatrix homepage you can see the difference...
Are there any porting templates for this kind of engine?
Have anyone of you seen and ported this kind of endplates?
Do you think its possible to make a highpower engine with bridgeporting on this type of 6-port? Not looking at idle and low end power...
The intermediate plate is also changed to a TII plate with bigger port!
I am also going to dowell the engine so it can take some more abuse...

Sorry about my bad spelling!

I have bridged a 6-port, it is currently sitting in my racecar waiting to be punished.
I havent driven it yet, so no feedback on how it drives.
When I ported it I made a template both for streetport and bridgeport.
The extra intake area isnt that larege though, it goes to the edge of the rotorhousing but You can easily make it go in a bit more.

Let me know if You want a copy!!!
Or catch me on MSN...wankelkim@netscape.net

Thanks a lot Kim!

What kind of valve did you have, and are you still using it? I took away my butterflyvalve...
I would be pleased to have a copy of your templates, if it's for the same enginetype that I am building on!
I did add your MSN adress, and here is mine; tresking@msn.com

Here is the difference off the two endplates...

The top one is a sleevevalved endplate, end the bottom one a plate with butterflyvalve for the secondary port...
I do think that there is a big difference on how to port these two... And I am sure that I can't use the Mazdatrix templates on the "European" type of endplates...
Please, help me! I'm a bit confused....

Hi Lars
The engine i ported put out 188hp on stock manifold(butterfly) with the porting, a drop in K&N filter and custom exhaust.
