Poor Performance

Hey Guys, about a year ago i bought an '82 rx7 with a 12A in it and ive had no complaints until now. When i "give her" from a standstill the car is great and runs strong, but it seems like right after i give it hard it starts stuttering when i get to 4th and 5th gear. Then i have to pull over and let it sit for a while and then its usually fine. Also, sometimes when i just drive normal on the highway and im in 5th, the car will start acting up again and studder.Someone told me it might be the carb and how it setup and its either running to rich or too lean.I dont have much experience with rotary or carbs so im stumped. The engine does have some Km's on it and a rebuild would help greatly. Anyone have any ideas???

One last note, I live in the niagara region in ontario canada and i was just wondering if you guys might know where i can get a new 12A motor or rebuild mine by someone who knows what they are doing? Thanks a bunch....Cheers!!!

Welcome to the forum. In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, carb manual and other rotary related reading. DL whatever you need an start reading. First thing to check is the fuel filter, might as well replace it if you haven't. You might post in the Canadian section for help with the carb and rebuild. We have a # of members in Ontario.
