Plz Help... My Car Wont Start

alright so heresthe deal i have an 87 gxl, it has sat for about a month do to money problems and was running fine before it was parked..... so i just put in new plugs, and it still wont fire..... i am pretty sure that i am getting fuel because it gets to this point where it almost fires but wont quite go...but i will go pull a fuel line just to make sure...i have no other clue what it could be so if anyone has any idea of what it could be let me know

hey... tried it and it still wouldnt go... im thinkin fuel pump..... what do you guys think?

Turn the key to the on position, not all the way to ignition though. Instantly grab the shifter, feel for a very fast vibration. If you feel it, that should be your fuel pump. If you don't feel it, your pump might be bad. I could be wrong but that's the method I used when replacing the pump in my FC.

WTF!!! Talk about an old thread...

I'm not saying it will vibrate out of your hand or anything, I'm saying that I've always been able to feel a minor pulsation in the shifter as soon as the pump kicks on. And as stated, I'm just stating the method I used to find that the fuel pump wasn't delivering.
