Opinion on new RX-7 tech site

Hi guys,

I'm running a site called Answerbag.com, and I wanted to get your opinion on how useful it would be for RX-7 owners. The site allows people to post questions and answers and rate each others' answers, so trusted answers will filter to the top.

I have a section for RX-7 tuning and maintenance that is broken down by generation. I am hoping that it might be easier for people, noobs especially, to find answers to the more common questions in this sort of FAQ format.

All opinions are welcomed - I want this site to be a useful tool for people, so if you'd like to see something else done on the site, please let me know.

I plan on adding each of the basic FAQs available on the web, but I've been having trouble contacting the administrators for each. If you know how to get in touch with these guys, please drop me a line.

Thanks again!
Joel

There are plenty of sites with info on RX-7s, including this forum and about half a dozen other forums like it. We have a FAQ section, and members who range from the casual driver, to the home DIY to people who work on rotary engines for a living, including at least one guy that I know of who runs a business from home working on import cars, specifically RX-7. There are a couple sites where you can download the Mazda Factory Service Manual, free of charge. There are companies who specifically deal with Rotary powered cars like Atkins Rotary, Mazdatrix, and a bunch of others that I'm sure you are aware of.

Basically, the point I'm getting at is this: There is already a mirad of web sites with information, tech support, forum message boards with Q&A, sites with vendors who specialize in Rotary engines, and sites for people to just post pics of there cars (like cardomain.com). Where there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with another rotary enthusiast creating another web site, I highly doubt that you would be able to offer something new that the rotary community doesn't already have.

It sounds neat but I am kind of with Project84. The forums just keep growing and more keep popping up so I just can't keep up Don't let that stop you from building a site like that though. If it works well plenty of people will head over there.
