ok so i got my engine to turn over...
but it wont start the engine i guess overheated about 8 months ago and was just sitting in the driveway so i got a new battery and a starter(thought i might have damaged the winding) so now it will turn with it almost there and i noticed that gray smoke was coming out of the exhaust so i tried to crank the engine and had the egi fuse out to try to unflood the engine and it started to want to crank more but i noticed that it started to smoke behind the top of the engine on the passenger side so i stop. any thought? thanks in advanced.

I bet you blew a coolant seal.
The grey smoke coming out of the exhaust usually indicates burning coolant in a situation like this.
If this is the case you need the engine rebuilt.
