I just bought a 1987 rx7 turbo II and the oil temperature guage in the cluster doesnt work. Another thing is that occasionaly while driving the oil temp. light on the guage lights up. Everytime it has done this it has happened at the same time when the shift up icon lights up on my tach. When i shift up a gear though, the shift up light as well as the oil light go off. Does this seem like an simple electronic malfunction, or a serious problem?

 

my mistake, its just the temperature gauge, and the light that flashes is the fan temp. light, it may be just a electrical malfunction.
