Battery terminal question

Im have a problem with my conversion im doing. in the process i pulled out one of the fuse boxes thinking i wouldnt need it any more. well i do. ive sodered all the wires back in place. so now my problem is i have 2 power wires and i dont know where they go to. im going to post a picture. this is from an 86' N/A. i know they go to the battery but im not sure if one is suposed to be positive or if they are both negative or if ones negative and ones a ground. they are both black. any help would be greatly appreciated. the wires in question are the ones in my hands.
