No spark on Leading coils
i posted this in the 3rd gen section figured i should post it here as well.
So a while back and with out knowing i installed an MSD 6a box with out FC coils on my FD. Car felt great drove it around all day and night with no problems. The next day or so i noticed a low idle around 500-600 So i checked over a every connection to make sure nothing was loose. let the car warm up and still a low idle. Went for a little drive and the car felt super slow.
I ended up returning the ignition systems back to stock still had a super low idle. I cranked the car and after about 2mins or less i started seeing smoke from the engine bay. heard a crack smakle and pop shut that *** hole of a car off. I shut the car off and took pulled the LIM and noticed the leading coil had melted from the inside out....
I returned everything back to stock and replaced it with spare coils and coil harness. cranked it back up and still wasn't getting a spark on the leading coils. So far i have tested the coil harness with a simple voltage meter and it's getting get a voltage. I have also checked the pin 1h on the igniter which i thiink leads to the ECU in my case PFC and it is not getting a signal...
so with that said can yall help me ?
