newbie question
hey guys
dont flame because i dont know much engines....im kind of into car sound but dont know alot about what runs it lol...and i want to learn so....
if i was to buy an FD that was sold as non-running...what parts would I need to buy to get it running as in what else besides a motor and turbos and all the turbo stuff
the reason im asking is because there are alot of 'non-running' fd's on autosource ( flood and insurance clain vehicles)...and im thinking of buying one and fixing it up ( well...getting it fixed up)
thanks for any help

I think this is one of those times where if you have to ask the answer is 'no' or 'don't'. If you bring a salvage car back to life it's either because you KNOW that there is some minor issue that is a quick fix, you really love and know the model inside and out and can rebuild and resell quickly, or you have a lot of time and money and just want to do it to have done it.
IMHO I would do it if I was building an all out, never-on-the-street track car. One where I'm going to be welding in a cage, dropping in a really built motor, and not having much of an original car left.
