New motor and car wont start

hey guys my name is Tim and i just had the motor swapped out in my 89 turbo2. we put in the same kind of motor but it was a jdm one and it was proubly a diffrent year. well we got everything hooked up and when we turn the key it sounds preety good but wont start. we checked everything we could think of but still nothing.the compression seems to be fine and there is definatly a spark and it smells like its getting fuel. it seemed to get closer the more times we tried to start it but were not positive. any ideas would be great

I've had good success with using starting fluid on motors like this.

Pull your plugs and see if they are wet with fuel or fouled. If either, clean and dry them well, I like to beadblast mine. Then squirt some motor oil in the housings, turn the engine over backwards by hand to spread the oil around, reinstall plugs and try again.

ok so we found out that the fuel injectors arnt spraying. the injectors them self are good because they came from the old motor. so any ideas? maby bad wires but wouldnt that involve pretty much pulling the motor to check
