New engine... no spark-> FD3S

Hi ,
I just installed the motor, and I'm not getting spark out of my 94 REX. I have disconnected all the spark plugs, then taken a plug and held it connected to a spark plug wire (with rubbber plyers) and turned the motor over to see if I saw a spark... Which I didn't. I've checked the connector from the main wire loop to the coil pack... it's connected, I'm going to check out the connector connected to the computer, to make sure it's secure... which I think it is.
I bought the motor blown, but I bought it basically through a reliable RX-7 shop here in Atlanta, so I think that the coil's are ok. The coolant seals had blown.
Any suggestions out there on what to check?
Thanks In Advanced

I don't know... should I be able to see a spark? I'm almost temped to let myself get shocked and hold the spark plug in my hand to see if it's really getting power... But I don't think that it is.

Check to make sure the ignitor is plugged in to the rest of the harness (ignitor is on the drivers firewall, flat box w/ fins, about 1/2 inch thick) If the plug in is fine, check the resistance on the ignitor as well as coils. My guess is the ignitor, but check it or have it checked first. They are pricey and tough to find.

Well I found out what was going on. You have to have the EGI fuse plugged in to get spark. Period. I tore the whole thing apart down to the coils and checked there resistance just like the shop manual told me to.
Then Dave at KD Rotary replied to my email. AND YES you have to have the EGI fuse plugged in to get spark.
