new ecu, check engine light (3rd gen)

so i put in this ecu. it is an n3a7, so from a japanese car i guess. it was remapped by MINES. i was pretty...i dont know worried? about if it would actually work. well its in and it runs just fine. whew.

1 thing is it is tuned for the basic bolt ons, cat back intake dp intercooler, and higher boost. right on with my boost controller OFF, where it would normally run about 7.0-7.2 psi. it now will hit 7.8, which isnt a big deal. when i run with it on im sure ill have to set it again to get it to 10.

anyway all i did was switch them out, then ran it to see it worked...it did, so bolted it all back in. then i went for a drive. ran just great.

well after it was well warned up i did a little run, about 1-30 in 1st gear. it felt hella fast. cant say faster, i reallly havnt driven this car enough lately to tell the difference but woooo. then down the road i did about 20-50ish in 2nd wot...wheee...but i noticed the check engine light was on. (i cant be sure but may have come on right then) right by home so shut it off checked, seemed fine. started it and the check eng light was off. still ran fine.

now thats all ive done with it. wondering what it could be. i know some things like the egr wont work with a foreign eci i read. dont suppose it anything like that maybe?

also the aws does still work. just thought i would mention, i wasnt sure if it was going to. just weird.

so maybe someone knows. it was hard to find much info prior to finally getting this kind of ecu. but i know theres quite a few people that DO use similair ecu`s, like the amemiya, knightsports, etc.

Check your ECU to see if there are any stored codes. Do a search if you need help with this process (kewords: TEN GND).

thx for the reply btw

i got around to pulling the code, and i got a 16, egr which was wat i was expecting/hoping for.

im still trying to find out how to get it to go away. i would like to find anyone who has a similar ecu as i would guess they all have this issue because there is no egr on the japanese cars.
