you'd be better off doing some reasearch on your own first in order to set some realistic expectations of what you want from your turbo system. then, come back and do a search in the Gen II Forum on what they would recommend.
for starters, i would recommend just using a stock '89-'91 turbo, but if you plan on converting to full T2 (with serious power) status later on, then you may want to get something with more potential.

unless you've ever done a turbo conversion before, it's more work than you'd expect. you can't just get an exhaust spacer, a turbo, and an intercooler with some piping and hook everything up and be dandy. unless you've done some serious research and are well educated on the process, don't take on the project. i think kevin from rotaryresurrection.com offers a turbo kit every now and then, but i'm not sure. go to his site and read the FAQ about it.
