need RX-7 expert mechanic in New England for 2nd opinion

Mechanics at 128 Mazda in Wakefield, MA have looked at my 1994 RX-7 and have determined that the smoking I have experienced is caused by an oil leak in the rear engine seal that is very difficult to fix - something about running the risk of having a gear drop into the engine during the procedure...Anyway, they have indicated that it holds a 50/50 success rate. If it goes well it will be about a $1,000 job...If it fails, I need a new aftermarket engine that will cost me abput $6,000

I would like a second opinion or perhaps to speak to someone who has had this type of work done before...Furthermore, I would appreciate it if any one could fd me some names of mechanics in the NE that have substantial experience working with these cars and perhaps have successfully worked a job this like...I love this car and want to hold onto it if at all possible.

Thank You,

Jeff
