Need help on injector pintle

K take a look at the picture below. My fuel rail and injectors from an 88 GXL. I just ordered from mazdatrix this pintle cap which I thought I lost. This part however does not fit my injector. It appears to be the same diameter as the injector tip. I know I ordered the correct part because it says on my packing list that it's for an 84-88 injector. Now a couple questions

1)Does this pintle only exist on the injectors on the UIM?
2)Did mazdatrix make a packing mistake. It looks nothing like the one pictured on their website
3)With the rubber grommet it seems to fit snugly in. Am I good to go? Can I put these on?

Thanks in advance

1. it's on all the injectors.

2. have you tried contacting them (Mazdatrix) to confirm what you have? my SE and T2 pintle caps seem to be physically interchangable - just different colors. i mean no offense, but i'm going to ask ... are you sure your caps were missing in the first place? i can't think of another explanation for your caps being the "same" size as your injector tips.

3. if it fits snugly, then it sounds like it's fine, but if no cap is really on it, then ??? ...

Sorry, just an update on this. I had to put them on by boiling them and pushing them on while they were warm and pliable. I put them on but then they didn't fit in the primaries. When I took a look at the two on my UIM they didn't have anything resembling the one pictured so I cut them off. They were so tight around the tip that it only took a small cut and the whole thing split. I am running without pintle caps. I feel no effect on performance.
