NEED HELP: cars barely running

Hi, I have a 93 rx7. The other night I put in a new battery in, started it up and while it was idling, the idling went from 1000 rpms to around 600/700 rpms. The engine is rocking pretty hard in the engine bay, the tone is a lot lower than before and it doesn't pull when I tried driving it earlier. I have no idea on what the problem could be so I'm hoping someone else will have a clue.

What mods? How many miles/age? What have you checked? Give us some details and history on the car. The more details you provide the easier it is to help.

It was rebuilt in 09, not sure if he rebuilt it back to stock or added other things to it. It's single turbo, greddy elbow, Greddy intercooler, koyo radiater, and PFC. About 35000 miles on the rebuild. Plenty of blue/white smoke that smells of fuel. It's also got that click click start problem.
When I got it tuned, the mechanic said my fuel injectors were leaking, but when I picked up my car the day later he said they were fine.
I drove it from California to South Dakota with no problems.
I really don't know what to look at.

I also know it sat for a long time before I bought it. It was pretty much built when I bought it, so I can't say to much more about it.

I'm gonna guess sludge in the gas tank. Replace the fuel filter a few times with a couple of hundred miles in between.

now was it running fine before you replaced the battery? if that is the case make sure all cables are tight and grounds are fine. I am pretty new to the rotary thing but i just purchased me fc that had been sitting for a while and mine was very similar with the uneven idle and mine would die. I think the gas was just bad i performed a fuel system clean. cleaned the injectors and filled the tank to full with new gas also adding fuel treatment and my problem went away. while your at it you could replace the fuel filter but ive never seen one actually bad enough to cause this.

me saying this is just based off the facts given it could be a 100 different things. good luck

Haven't done an oil change or anything? I did that when I picked up mine and accidentally removed a vacuum line. The car was idling rough and had no power. Smoked a lot etc.

There was a vacuum leak. Fixed it, started it, worked for a day then the ignition switch starting smoking up. Currently in an electric shop getting worked on.
