Talking my rx-7 has poor idel

Hi

I have a 1987 rx7 turbo and it has realy poor idel for some reason. I cant figure out why when i start it the car makes a squeeling sould and it starts and idels @ 1 and 1/2 for a few seconds and than goes down to just above 0 for a few secinds and i guss its spost to do that but that the car shakes realy had and dies after ideling at just above 0 for a few seconds. dose anyone know how to fix this or even know what i am talking about thanks.

1. Have you looked at the plugs yet? Color?
2. Was there anything that you did and then the car started acting this way?
* try adjusting the idle stop screw on the TB to keep the car running, and then begin the check up process.

Look in the archives of the 2nd gen section. There's something about "idle troubles" or similar. That'll fix your problem.

The squeeling might be a belt. Is it high pitched?

when my car did that it was the intake gasket was blown theres a way of testing it u take a glass of water and start the motor let it idle and pour sum water directly behind the thermostadt housing
and if the car dies its cus its blown
respond back if it dont theres other tests

Also check your water pump. Mine squealed like hell when it died.(didn't stall though)

have you tried moving the letter "E" in front of the letter "L"? That might make your idle better :P
