Unhappy my engine is gone!!!

sorry for the length>>>

I have a third gen rx7 with about two years on my rebuild from pineapple racing. it has a mild street port a cat back and a down pipe with thier stage 1 oil mods. At the time of the rebuild I didn't have money for a upgraded ecu so I NEVER ran the car hard, thinking that i would run it lean and ping. 4500 rpms is about as high as I would take it. On New Years I was driving to my house going over a hundred in 5th, by no means pushing it, and thought I saw a cop so I immediatly took my foot of the gas. The car then died on me and wouldn't crank over. after several attempts it finally turned on and I drove it about 1.5 miles to my home, the car sounded horrible. left the car there for about two days then tried to restart it but only stayed on for a little while. The engine is now siezed up I need to yank it out. I first started to remove parts to see if something could point me in the right direction of what went wrong. I removed the intake tubing and saw that I had oil coming out of the throtle bodies butterflies. Now I am not a mechanic and there isn't a rotary shop any where near here. What do you guys think might have gone wrong or what do you think busted? Do you think that the engine's five year warranty would cover it? Because I don't see what i could have done to cause this engine failure.

I would think the best bet would be to call pineapple and explain to them the situation and they would be the best to help you since you dont want to dig into it too far and void that 5 year warranty

I did call them but they just said to bring them the engine then they woould check it out. they kept telling me that most likely I did something to it but what? I babied that car and never ran it how it was ment to be. plus I'm no mechanic and I have never removed an engine so thats why its still sitting on the side of my house.

hmmm, sounds like they're going to blame it on u so they don't have to rebuild it for nothing.

No company would gladly rebuild your motor for free, of course their gonna say it was you. Best bet is to take them the motor and have them give it a look. Nice thing about the rotary is that you can tell how the car was driven when you do a breakdown of the motor. If it comes to that they will see that you havent abused it and should pay for your repairs.
