Question my car wont start

one day i went to warm up my car, after a while of warming up, i gave it a lil gas and the car made a loud noise and turned off then it didnt turn back on. at first i thought it was because i had no gas so i filled up the tank and still no luck. my friends came over, charged the battery and put about a little bottle cap of oil in the carb. then i had to hold the gas at about 1500 rpm so it could stay on and when i let go, it turned off and this happened about a couple of months ago, the car cranks and everything like if it wants to turn on but it doesnt. since then ive made a couple of attemps to turn it on and i couldnt. does anyone know what the problem may be? cause i dont think its the motor cause the car cranks and it wants to turn on but it doesnt. another possibility is that one rotor can be blown, thats what i was told. someone give me some feeback on thie situation, thanks

Sounds like you could blow your rotor. Take out your spark plugs and turn the motor over. You should get 3 nice pluses in three revs. On one chamber.

Try to do the ATF trick. Do a search on the forum and you will understand the purpose of the ATF trick.

ok my 1st gen does this too its partial carburation and a partial worn rotor tip but use the starting fluid get one of your buds to crank it over and pump the **** out of the gas and she should go if she burns oil its most definitley a worn rotor tip
