Mis-wired six ports. Results?

Talked to a guy who has a “off balance “ at about 5000 rpm. He is run inning a DCOE with the aux ports wired open. It looked like they were not balanced and running mis matched port timing. I advised that I thought this could be causing his issue and to remove the aux port sleeves to see if this solves his issue. Am I on the right path here?

i guess, if you put a sleeve in wrong, one would be open and the other closed, which would be weird...
