MFR rotor bearings

MFR for Mazda Factory Race

I want to use them on my future 87 13BT. What are the benefits of using RACE ROTOR BEARINGS. I know they store more oil for the rotors. Anyone ever use them here???And how much did it cost you?

they are very expensive and unless you are planning to rev the motor to 9000 and beyond are not needed. they have a window cut in them for better oil flow and are setup for a larger clearance for use with higher pressure oil pressure regulators. for the turbo motors I generally don't use them. I have my engine builder clearance the stock bearing and cut the groove into them. this works just as well for about 20% of the cost of the MFR bearings.

90 some bucks per bearing??

Hmm i have a change of heart!..My car will be strictly street. I went to Mazdatrix to pick up my streetport housings (all 5) today and i asked Mazdatrix if i should use the MFR bearings for my new motor and they said not necessarily unless im drag racing. Not to mention the 90+ dollars per bearing. I think i will stick with the stock ones..hehehe

TIMS..still have that H2O pump +housing???..

How is the project race car going????

The race car is going very slowly at the moment. just finished moving this last weekend, so I am trying to get everything setup at the new place. I have a waterpump housing on my spare motor. the one that was loose in my garage went in the trash with all the other spare junk I had(no room in the moving truck or in the new garage for all that stuff). If you really need it and can't find one I'll let it go otherwise I would like to keep the motor complete for now.

Are you still in the N.Hollywood area???..Its too bad you threw away the spare housing/pump..Its just that its so hard to find a turbo waterpump housing in the junkyard. Heck i hardly see TII in the junkyard. But if you want to give it to me i'd appreciate it!..hehehe..
