white smoke usually means coolant, lots of white smoke at startup, that goes away, usually means coolant seals inside the engine.

my seals had a catastrophic failure, by that I mean that after sitting for a week, my neighbors house would disappear in the steam/smoke for 5 minutes. I stopped driving the car and scheduled the rebuild. I have heard that if it is not too bad, you can closely watch the coolant levels, keep it topped up, and continue driving it (normal "I may be wrong on this" disclaimer goes here).

since coolant was "leaking" into the chamber, the coolant level was always low (checking the engine, not the coolant recovery tank), and the car ran Horribly for the first few minutes, till it all cleared out. How are your coolant levels? have you tried the "champaign" test yet?

im having the exact same problem, however i did a compression test and it tested fine. I talked to a buddy and he said turbos as well. im actually noticing smoke under my hood coming from them. seems like were on the same page man! im also loosing coolant, which would make sense if the turbos were blown right? subscribed.
