Lost spark gettting on freeway! HELP!
I have a 90 RX7 Conv. 211K Mi. Rebuilt at 195K Mi. I was accelerating onto the freeway when with the snap of a finger it seemed as though the ignition key was turned off. (All service lights came on). Car cranks great. Won't start. All service lights work except engine light. Tried grounding test connector to pull codes, but no engine light. Found no spark from trailing or leading coils. Main relay, test ok. Crank Angle sensor test ok. Leading and trailing coils test good resistance (.4ohms). HELP!!!
ive had the same problem with my 87 t2. check all of your grounds check to see if you have voltage before your coils with a multimeter. when this happened to me i found i forgot to bolt down one of the ground wires under the uper intake mainifold.
Thanks for the prompt reply, I checked all gounds and they were ok. I checked main fuses in engine compartment and found a blown 30A EGI fuse. I replaced it and turned the car to the on but no start and saw my Engine light. 5 seconds later the new fuse blew. I've got a shop manual but need all the help I can get.
