Just a thought.....hmmmm

I was bored and thinking about rotaries like usual but I thought has anybody been able to make a rotary diesel? It would have to hold pretty high compression and be durable but it was just a thought, and it would also be kind of cool to think that there is a rotary diesel.

Rolls-Royce made a single-stage Wankel Diesel.

Others (including John Deere) have made two-stage Wankel Diesels... it's difficult to get enough compression for a Diesel to run.

most of the ones that do run use a stratified charge to get around that IIRC
