I have an 91 rx-7 n/a. 5 speed. My cars idle is bouncing between 500-1000 rpm.
And it stalls out when i put a load on, like a/c. or power steering turning the steering wheel without having the engine reved. i have replaced the altinator thinking it was the voltage regulator, I have checked for vacume leaks. and found none. anyone have these problems?

 

i had this happen to me once (in my NA '87) the idle was bouncing up and down.
i took off all kinds of things and checked a bunch of sensors nothing was solved...


then later i had removed the negative battery cable for something else, and when i re attached it the idle problem had vanished.

 

try reseting the ECu take off the battrey and hold the break in for 10 secs then reconnect it
