Injector leaking woes NA FC
Injector leaking woes NA FC
I got a set of Fuel Injector Clinic 650's for my non-turbo 1987 RX7, stock being 470's being ran with a megasquirt. Pulsation dampener has been removed.
The injectors were slightly longer then the ones that came out so trying to figure what is causing my leaking issues. The orings into the fuel rail dont seem to be the part that is leaking, it is the donuts that are in the center housing
First time, I had taken the bottom seal, cut in in half height wise and this let it sit farther down but it ripped the rubber up
Second time, I used the full thickness, but spaced the fuel rail slightly higher with spacers, and longer bolts to compensate, but it is still in there tight.
I will try to update this post after I get everything off to change the parts out again, but this is getting old, having to change them all out every 6-8 months. Drove the car yesterday, was fine, drive it to day and am smelling fuel, and see the puddle under the intake manifold.
This is to see if anyone has had an issue like this, as my google-fu is failing me, or I am using incorrect terms.

Update, took it all apart, not a single fuel leak anywhere.
Turns out I had a slow drop from the water filler neck onto the engine, series 4 has plastic there. Will keep watch on it.
