idle question

1st id like to say i love the website VERY informitive. a little about yself im 35 i live in florida and im an owner of a 1988 rx7 i have to say i bought this car just to play with. i own and autocross with a 01 supercharged mustang and love it however when i walk out to leave for work in the morning i seem to find myself getting in the rx7. i would have to say back in 1988 these cars must have been well before their time even to this day it handles and drives great.

my question what would be a normal idle RPM?
I have heard ppl like to idle them around 12-1500 r's just wondering how true that was?

factory idle is 750 +/- 25... 1200 to 1500 rpm would be for a bridge port or PP motor because of port timing overlap (similar to running a big cam in a piston motor)
