Angry idle problems on s5 rx7

i have a bone stock 91 rx7 n/a

nuthing ever been touch or adjusted

out of no where

the car started idling at 2000 rpm when warm up

it wont go any lower

check engine light go on and off constantly

i try adjusting the idle but all it does is go higher or idle would jump from 1k to 1.5k contantly

ive check for vacum leaks and not able to find nothing at all...

i was told it could be under the intake manifold but ive sprayied carb cleaner under it and still nothing

need helpp fixin this problem

if u got any idea how i could solve this problem.....i would really appreciate it......

definitly sounds like a vacuum leak. I would take off the Upper Intake Manifold and replace all the lines with new.

You might want to look into your grounds. They are very important on these cars. It can cause all kinds of problems with performance and idle especially. I'm doing the HKS circle earth in the near future. Look up grounding for 2nd gens in the search and you'll find tons of info. Good luck.

Hi I first would check vacuum,, 14.7 lbs at sea level,if its low you might have, a dry throttle linkage ,Needs oil, a broken line(Vacuum) or,a stuck Bypass air control valve, your computer uses it to adjust Idle , check and see if you have any block off plates that are loose, hardened Injector lower rubbers ,a loose intake, a blown intake gasket. the easy way is to just pour water on the intake and vac lines when you hit the right spot she starts to stumble and you will find the bug................................good luck...........................................FP
