I need the "VIN code" for a '79
is there anywhere i can find the Sheet that says what the VIN on my car discribes, there isnt one in the haynes, shop manual, or drivers manual.
If anyone knows of a website or something that has this that would be greatly appriciated, I just want to find out as much about how my car was new as I can.
Thanks for any info

It's simple.
SA22C means SA model line, 22 is the engine (12A), C means coupe (I believe), and then the next six numbers are the car's production number.
All '79-80 RX-7s have the same VIN... SA22C-nnnnnn. All '79-80 RX-7s were 2-door 12A's.
There is no real "code" like with the standardized 17-digit VINs that were used starting in 1981 in the US. Every manufacturer used whatever system they felt was good for them, this simple 11-digit number was what Mazda decided was good enough.
Nowadays the VIN tells you damn near everything except the blood type of the people who assembled the car.
As another example, a mid-70's Cosmo is a CD23C... CD chassis, 13B, coupe.
