I am Loosing Coolant, Buzzer going off! HELP!

I have an 86 gxl and i have been having a problem with losing coolant the coolant buzzer keeps going off and it seems intermittent . i already put a new water pump and radiator cap on. i fill the coolant up and then take a short drive with the buzzer going off and then when i get back i need to add about a pint of coolant to get it back full. do i have an air bubble or something please help. is my sensor bad or what can you please help.

Do you wait till your themostat opens to add your coolant? check your oil level also, that made mine go off constantly...i thought it was coolant but it was really low on oil, damn wal-mart didnt put enough oil in my 7 when i got it changed.

okay cool i'll try it you might be right about the oil thing but i have never heard it before but it does make sense. it could be the oil because the coolant light does not come on but there is an annoying buzzing sound and the coolant light is intermittent.

Make sure you burp/bleed all the air out from the system. Sounds like you might have air in it still.
