How to remove front main pulley

I bought an old blown 13b to take apart and learn on. I got the fly wheel off, and the rear rotor and housing off, but, I wasn't sure how to remove the front main pulley/hub to get the E-shaft out or fully disassemble the motor. I just didn't want to damage anything trying ideas, so I figured I could ask some people who have done it before. Will I have to lock the pulley like I had to lock the flywheel in order to get the bolt off? Any help is appreciated, Thanks Evan

Lock the fly wheel again remove the 4 bolts ( 10 mm )in the front pulley and the green nut lock . Turn off the bolt, with long break bar or large air tool .

Well, what I did when I put on my underdrive pulley was get big pipe wrench, a 1/2" drive breaker bar, two very long and very strong pipes, and a friend to help me out. First take off the pulley assembly so that you only have the hub left. Open up the pipe wrench to fit around it and make sure it grabs the hub nice and tight. Now slide one of the pipes over the handle of the pipe wrench and have a friend hold it. You have to be on the passenger side of the engine bay in order for this to work. Next slide the 17mm or 19mm socket, can't remember which one it was, on to the bolt. Slide the other pipe over the handle. You and your friend or whoever is helping you now have to both push up on the pipes. Making sure that the pipe wrench will turn towards the driver side and the breaker bar will turn towards the passenger side. The breaker bar and pipes will flex, then all of a sudden you'll hear a sort of snapping sound. It may seem that you broke the breaker bar, but you you actually broke the bolt loose. Check to make sure you didn't break the breaker bar though.

An easier way to do it though would be to get a very strong impact gun and zap it off. Unfortunately my impact gun and my friend's impact gun wasn't strong enough to get it off.

That nut is a pain to take off sometimes. Normally, with the engine in the car, I'll secure a breaker bar to the chassis and bump the starter, but since yours is out of a car, try this: Put a 3/4" (19mm) socket on it, and beat the hell out of it (just the socket with no wrench attached) with a large hammer; an air-hammer works wonders. Next, try the impact gun. If it doesn't work, beat on it some more. Keep doing this until it comes loose.

If nothing else works at all (breaker bars, impact wrenches, lots of hammering or an oxygen-acetylene torch), take a cold chisel (one made of carbon steel) and use a hammer to bang it off in the correct direction. It'll chew the hell out of the bolt, but it will eventually remove it.

A cheap way to secure the flywheel is to use the rear hoist bracket. Remove it, flip it around, put it so it locks the ring gear, and use that as an engine lock. Works geat, but use a junk bolt since it'll damage the threads on the original. It also works in reverse.

Bad idea. You can damage the thrust washer. The needles will dent the washer. I should know.
