How do I cean out my exhaust?

I found that my stainless steel random technologies catalytic converter decided to unravel itself inside my exhaust system.

I now have what is essentially a roll of stainless steel foil trapped in my 2 1/2 inch mid-pipe and muffler. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as pulling it all out from one end. It's split into wads in both places. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get it out.

Also, PSA: stainless matrix cats can definitely fail when used in a rotary engine.

Luckily, with some vigorous shaking, I got the material out of the muffler. It came out in a big chunk. Unfortunately, some steel mesh came out too. So I suspect I've done some damage to the muffler.

Good thing you got it out. If it were me and the material was very stuck in there, I'd have marked the pipe, cut it with the thinnest blade I have (hack saw), remove offending material, then weld back together with proper alignment.

I don't know what those two links are above, but they seem to be dead.
